PROGRAM
Synopsis
Act 1
A young girl named Alice sits bored on the riverbank while her sister insists on going through her school lessons for the day. Suddenly, Alice's attention is captured by a White Rabbit donning a pocket watch and a waistcoat, lamenting about being late. Intrigued, Alice decides to follow the peculiar creature down a rabbit hole, plunging into a world brimming with mystery and wonder.
Through a keyhole, Alice catches a glimpse of an enticing garden, yet remains unable to reach it. She stumbles upon a drink that causes her to shrink and a cake that makes her grow to immense proportions. Swimming in a lake formed by her own tears, Alice encounters an array of peculiar beings, including a Dodo Bird who organizes a Caucus Race to dry them off.
As she continues her journey, Alice comes across an exotic Caterpillar perched upon a mushroom. The Caterpillar, before vanishing, uplifts Alice's spirits with a profound question: "Who are you?"
Finally, Alice finds herself in a garden filled with bewildering and magnificent flowers. Unfortunately, these enchanting blooms perceive Alice as nothing more than an unsightly weed, leading them to expel her from their exquisite domain.
Act 2
Alice, now immersed in her adventure, stumbles upon a peculiar Tea Party hosted by a Mad Hatter, a March Hare, and a drowsy Dormouse. Seeking an escape from the madness, she encounters a mysterious Cheshire Cat who provides her with directions to the courtyard of the Queen of Hearts.
Inside the courtyard, two guards resembling playing cards ardently paint the rose bushes red, having mistakenly planted white roses—much to the Queen's disdain. Meanwhile, two other guards assigned to protect the Queen's cherished Tarts have dozed off on duty. Seizing the opportunity, the mischievous Knave of Hearts pilfers the Queen's prized tart for her own enjoyment. As the guards attempt to apprehend her, she cunningly eludes their grasp.
The Queen herself arrives and proudly exhibits her dance skills. The White Rabbit announces the completion of her tart, only for the Queen to discover its theft by the Knave of Hearts, who brazenly consumes it before her eyes. Enraged, the Queen orders the guards to arrest the Knave, who now awaits her grim fate.
Presented with the evidence of the white rose bushes, the Queen expresses her revulsion and accuses Alice of planting. The mischievous Cheshire Cat, playfully tricks the Queen, which infuriates her further. The Queen, consumed by anger, demands Alice's execution.
However, the White Rabbit insists on a trial before any punishment can be administered, and the Queen reluctantly agrees. The trial commences with all the characters Alice has encountered throughout her journey serving as witnesses. To Alice's astonishment, they all deny any interaction with her, and the Cheshire Cat, relishing in mischief, hints that Alice may have stolen the Queen's tart.
As the Queen demands Alice's execution, she manages to escape. In a frenzied whirlwind of chaos, Alice runs in circles, encountering each character in her path. Amidst the pandemonium, Alice suddenly awakens, realizing it was all a dream.
