TEEN COMPANIES

Next Season's Auditions TBA in 2023

Season start August 8, 2022
Our teen company is designed for young artists who have interest in self expression, and dance as a performance art. Participating dancers between the ages of 12-17 will follow our unique syllabus highlighting the technique and theory of dance, which is designed to offer a well-rounded dance education. Our focus is to create dance artists who will be prepared and encouraged to be leaders in their communities regardless of the path they choose.  Our company will also focus on team building, respect for each individual, and strive to create lasting friendships and connections along the way!

Required classes include, but are not limited to, ballet, modern, jazz, and choreography.  Dancers will also have the opportunity to take master classes in varying genres, dance theory, somatic studies, and dance-conditioning.  Company members have the opportunity to perform and choreograph for our Fall Showcase, perform in our professional dance company's annual presentation of "The Nutcracker and the Mouse Queen," and have lead roles in our end of year full production.

Senior Company will take class and work with our professional company (Serena Webb Dance Company) and may perform in other professional concerts and performances throughout the year.

Our company classes are curriculum-based. Students must participate in every class assigned in order to meet the requirements to remain on the company.

Dancers MUST AUDITION for the program and company invitation and placement will depend on level of ability.

  • Pointe and ballet variations are introduced and studied.
  • A separate men's ballet technique class will be available to our advanced levels in place of pointe class.
  • Students will learn how to create and set choreography of their own.
  • By Audition Only.
With a challenging syllabus and choreography, dancers will progress in their technical and artistic efficiency. At this time female dancers will be working toward full pointe work in ballet and pointe classes. Male dancers will learn and perfect their technique in a separate men's class in place of pointe.
Syllabus will include Ballet Variations, Modern, Jazz, Choreography, Improvisation, contact & partnering, fundamentals of movement, and dance as performance art.
