Elementary Level classes consist of Ballet and Jazz. These classes are required, and are an essential part of a well-rounded dance education. Each class provides dancers with fundamental training, helping them to grow and thrive in the evolving world of dance.
All of our class levels are curriculum-based. Students must participate in every class assigned to their level in order to hold their spot, and meet the requirements to advance into the next level.
Students will begin to move into a more structured environment. Along with studying beginning techniques of Ballet and Modern, dancers are expected to study and memorize French Ballet terminology. Students will also be introduced to dance theory and methodology including; but not limited to somatic's, conditioning, musicality, and the creative process.
Dancers should expect to stay at least 1-2 years in each level.

Dress Code
We require a specific dress code for each class. We have included links BELOW for you to purchase the items required for each class. If there is no link you are free to purchase those items at the location of your choice.
Female:
SWDT Leotard in RED or equivalent (in preferred style(s): LINK 1 LINK 2 LINK 3 LINK 4 LINK 5 (we recommend always ordering one size up)
Convertible SKIN colored tights and SKIN colored ballet shoes:
OPTIONAL: Black SWDT biker shorts or leggings can be worn for modern over required leotard
Hair in bun, no jewelry: Ballet shoes will be worn for ballet and barefoot for modern

WDA Yearly Fees
ALL tuition/fees/monies/registrations paid for any, and all events/camps/classes/workshops/activities are NON-REFUNDABLE
Annual Registration Fee: $35 per family due yearly with first months payment of new season (register before July 15th and registration fee is waived)
