We believe that hard work, passion, and dedication produces achievement.
At Webb Dance Academy we know you have several options when choosing to invest in your child’s dance education. We appreciate the opportunity to give your child a quality dance foundation that promotes a respect and understanding for the art of dance and the performing arts. We are dedicated to helping each individual student develop into the best performer they can and want to be. We have created an extensive syllabus for our dancers to learn all genres of dance, and give equal attention to all of our dancers.
This is a lesson that will instill a discipline in each student that will aid them in facing all aspects of life. We seek excellence from all of our students appropriate to their age, level and interest. None of this can be accomplished without a cooperative and supportive effort from the students, their parents, our teachers and staff. Our unique staff is diverse and well trained. Our teachers are well known in the dance community and continue to expand their knowledge of the latest styles and techniques. You can trust that by enrolling and committing to classes, you will not only be gaining the best training available, we will nurture every student in a caring, professional and fun environment.
Class Levels: All of our class levels are curriculum-based. Students must participate in every class assigned to their level in order to meet the requirements to advance into the next level.
Tuition: Payment is due monthly, and is divided into equal payments for an 11 month season. Once classes have begun, all tuition is non-refundable and non-transferable. Credits will not be issued. Monthly tuition is based on the average of 3.6 classes per month. Some months have as few as two (2) weeks. Other months have as many as five (5) weeks. Automatic billing is mandatory.
A valid credit card MUST be on file with the office. Auto Pay will be charged the (1st) of each month. We gladly accept the following methods of payment: Visa, Master Card, Discover Card, and American Express. There is a 2.75% credit card transaction fee for all credit card payments. Any account unpaid after the tenth (10th) of the month will have a $10 late fee. A monthly statement will NOT be mailed from our office. If a printed statement is needed, it will be made available upon request.
Overdue Balances: A statement will either be mailed by regular mail, or emailed for past amounts due; including late charges as well as overdue payments. Any student with an overdue balance of more than 60 days will not be allowed to continue classes until payment is received in full, or payment arrangements have been made. If for any reason a student wishes to discontinue classes, there will be no obligation to pay for the balance for the remaining school year. However, families will be responsible for any amounts that are past due.
Withdrawal or Refunds: We ask for 14 days’ notice to discontinue monthly classes. Withdrawals should be done in person at the front desk, or by personally speaking with Kirsten or Serena. Teachers cannot authorize withdrawals. Any automatic payments will be discontinued after the 2 week’s notice. Non-attendance does NOT constitute a withdrawal, and is not an adequate reason for non-payment of tuition. Webb Dance Academy reserves the right to terminate any student if deemed necessary. Only in this case will a refund be issued.
Important Information: Students WILL NOT be allowed to participate in classes or performances, if the account is not current. There are no refunds for tuition, costume fees or performance fees, FOR ANY REASON.
Missed/Make-Up Classes: Please email or call us as soon as possible if your student is going to miss class for any reason. This is extremely helpful for the teacher, especially during class rehearsals around performance times. Classes missed can be made up within one month of the date of absence. Make-up classes can be scheduled with the front desk and should be discussed with the teacher. Attendance will be taken during each class by the teacher.
Attendance/Tardiness: Regular attendance for all classes in a student’s program is necessary in order to maintain progress. Attendance is a strong consideration when placing students in classes and performances. Students later than 15 minutes to class may be asked to sit and observe upon the teacher's discretion. This is mostly for the safety of the dancers and will protect them from injury.
Pickup and Drop-off: Please arrive at the studio 10 minutes prior to the beginning of class. This will ensure that classes are not interrupted by the arrival of late students. The studio is not responsible for before- or after-class care of students. Parents should bring children into the studio, and come into the studio after class to pick their children up. Students will NOT be allowed to wait outside the building. Please be respectful of the waiting area. If an unsupervised student(s) waiting in the lobby is being disruptive and unruly, a behavior slip will be issued and the parent will be called immediately.
Dress Code: All students are expected to dress appropriately for each class and to follow the dress code. Failure to follow the dress code may result in the student being asked to sit out of class. A dress code slip will be sent home with the student and must be signed and addressed by the parent/guardian by the next class time. The studio is not responsible for any lost or stolen items. Please leave valuables at home.
Behavior and Discipline: Students are expected to show respect and kindness to their teachers and peers at all times. We ask that dancers come in with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. We believe in a positive disciplined atmosphere for the students. If a dancer shows disrespect to a teacher, they may be asked to sit out during class. Any such behavior will be noted and reported to a parent or guardian; a behavior slip will be issued at the end of the class and sent home with the dancer. The slip must be signed and addressed by the guardian/parent before the next class time. Students are also asked to help keep the lobby area uncluttered. Absolutely NO gum or food in the studios. A closed water bottle is permissible. No cell phones in class.
Recital and Costume Fees: Webb Dance Academy will have a Fall Showcase in November and an annual June concert. Dancers 8 and up will also have the opportunity to audition for our professional company’s production of “The Nutcracker and the Mouse Queen.” An annual registration fee of $35 per family will be due with the family’s first tuition payment. All Inclusive Tuition: Take the guesswork out of your monthly budget. Our pricing INCLUDES your costumes & recital fees! ALL tuition/fees/monies/registrations paid for any, and all events/camps/classes/workshops/activities are NON-REFUNDABLE. We offer a 10% off sibling discount on monthly tuition (does not apply towards registration or performance fees)
Events and Dates: It will be the responsibility of the parent or adult student to be aware of all important dates of the studio. Parents and adult students will be asked to provide the Academy with email addresses so we can electronically send important information. Students will also be sent home with hard copies of upcoming events only if there are forms needing to be signed. Newsletters and notices will also be posted on the bulletin board in the lobby area. Please periodically check your email and the bulletin board to keep current with all Academy activities. Families should in turn keep the Academy updated with any new personal information.
Studio Closings: Webb Dance Academy will follow the Canyons School District holiday schedule. We will also follow any snow day closings issued by the school district or extreme weather reports announced on the news. Snow days can be made up within 30 days with a similar class. No credits or refunds will be issued. In the event of a pandemic outbreak and we cannot continue in person classes, we will continue with classes via ZOOM or ONLINE until we are able to meet in person again.
Photo Release: A photo release form has been signed upon registration. The parent or guardian agrees to allow the studio to take photographs or videos of their student to use in brochures, flyers, websites, posters, advertisements or other promotional materials the studio creates. Permission is also granted for the School to copyright such photographs in its name.
Injuries: Parents and legal guardians of minor students waive the right to legal action or any injury sustained on the School’s property on or off-site location resulting from student activities before, during, or after class time.
